This handsome man is Artemis. Artemis came to visit us at the beginning of August due to getting in a scrap with another neighborhood cat. Cat bites can cause major damage when their teeth penetrate the skin, this is due to all the bacteria found in their mouth. Infection can occur very quickly post bite, sometimes medications can treat the wound, however surgery is sometimes required. Unfortunately, in Artemis’ case, his wounds were quite severe. He went under a GA that day & Dr Raj cleaned up the wounds- one wound was too large to close over, so regular bandage changes were needed.
Artemis has been seeing us every 4 days for his bandage changes, he is an absolute angel & his wound has been healing so well. His final bandage change will be at the end of this week! We would like to thank his parents for doing the best for him- he is a very lucky boy.
