Pet of the month for October 2022 goes to this happy girl Rosie!
Rosie came to the clinic to visit us last December due to the end of her tail tip bleeding on & off. Her wonderful mum was able to bandage her tail when she would cause it to bleed again, but over time it was becoming more of an issue. Happy tail syndrome is a condition where dogs cause damage to the tip of their tails from striking surfaces. Many times, this condition occurs when they are wagging their tail, which is why it's called happy tail syndrome.
Unfortunately for these happy dogs, the only way to prevent the ongoing trauma to the end of their tail is to amputate a large amount of it. Rosie came in to have her procedure performed last month & has been the bravest girl throughout it all. She came for regular visits to check & rebandage her new stumpy tail & has since been signed off by Dr Raj. She is now living a very happy life, without the pain!!
We would love to thank her family for being so amazing & doing whatever Rosie needed to help with her ongoing pain. She is such a lucky girl to have you all.
